HEROES

Last week we celebrated a very important national holiday, the 25th March, which symbolizes the beginning of the Greek War of Independence,which finally led to the liberation from the Ottoman Empire.

On that particular day,our nation honors some historical figures,known as 'the heroes of the Greek Revolution' (Theodoros Kolokotronis,Georgios Karaiskakis etc.)

Do you believe there are modern-time heroes nowadays?If so,who would you consider as one and why?If not,why not?What are some of the qualities a modern-time hero should have?

SOCIAL NETWORKS: A blessing or a curse?

Do the names Facebook, Twitter, hi5 etc. ring a bell? They're all popular 'social networking' sites which help people meet and talk about things online. Although there are lots of differences between them, what they all have in common is that they provide a place for people to interact.

Are you a current user of one (or more) of these sites? Do you spend a lot of your free time on them? What do you think about communication online? What are some possible dangers it may include?

I'm sure that most teenagers today have their favourite singers or bands.

Film review

I always feel excited to go to the movies,especially if I have heard good reviews about a film.For example,"Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets"is a really enjoyable film for the whole family.I strongly recommend it to everyone who likes brilliant music,amazing special effects and good acting.What about you?Do you like going to the cinema?What's your favorite movie?What do you like most about it?
